Mahjong Connect — the classic against the clock
Mahjong Connect (also known as Shisen-Sho or Link) is an attention puzzle played with Chinese mahjong tiles. All tiles lie in a single layer, and you can remove any pair of identical tiles if they can be joined by a line with no more than two right-angle turns. The line must not cross other tiles, but it may run around the edge of the board.
The classic mode has ten levels. On each one the tiles behave differently: they fall down, slide left or right, gather to the centre or spread to the edges. Every level gives you less time, and the seconds you have left turn into bonus points. When no pairs are left, the tiles reshuffle automatically; each level has three hints and three shuffles.
Tips
- Start at the edges: tiles next to the border are the easiest to connect because the line can go outside.
- Watch where the tiles slide on the level — a removed pair may bring other identical tiles together.
- Quick pairs in a row build a combo and earn extra points.
- Levels: 10
- Time: limited
- Hints per level: 3
FAQ
How do I connect tiles?
Click two identical tiles. They are removed if a line with no more than two right-angle turns can join them without crossing other tiles. The line may run around the edge of the board.
How much time does a level have?
Five minutes on the first level and less after that. The seconds left become bonus points.
What if there are no moves?
The tiles reshuffle automatically. You can also press Shuffle yourself if you can't find a pair.
How do the levels differ?
On every level the tiles move differently after a pair is removed: they fall down, gather to the centre, slide left or right. This changes the tactics: a pair that was close together may drift apart.
