Mahjong Butterflies 2 — join the wings
Mahjong Butterflies 2 is the sequel to the beloved butterfly connect game. Each tile shows a single wing: left or right. Join the left and right wing of the same species with a line that has no more than two turns — the halves become a whole butterfly and it flies away.
The game has sixty levels: the board grows from 60 to 144 tiles, and every level has its own tile behaviour. The time bar keeps running down, but every pair you find adds a couple of seconds. Each level gives you two hints; shuffling is always available but costs ten seconds.
Tips
- Tell butterflies apart by colour and pattern: the monarch has orange wings with black veins, the morpho is bright blue, the swallowtail is yellow with tails.
- Two left wings don't make a pair — look for the mirrored half.
- Quick pairs in a row build a combo, and the time left becomes bonus points.
- Levels: 60
- Time: limited
- Hints per level: 2
FAQ
How do I connect tiles?
Click two identical tiles. They are removed if a line with no more than two right-angle turns can join them without crossing other tiles. The line may run around the edge of the board.
Which wings make a pair?
The left and right wing of the same species — with the same colour and pattern. Two left or two right wings don't make a pair.
How does the time bar work?
The level time keeps running down, and every pair you find adds a couple of seconds. A shuffle costs ten seconds, so it's better to find pairs yourself.
What if there are no moves?
The tiles reshuffle automatically. You can also press Shuffle yourself if you can't find a pair.
How do the levels differ?
On every level the tiles move differently after a pair is removed: they fall down, gather to the centre, slide left or right. This changes the tactics: a pair that was close together may drift apart.
